The North American Kazakh Association (NAKA) will host a community celebration of Nauryz on March 29 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Carl Sandburg Elementary School, 12801 84th Ave NE, in Kirkland, Washington.
Nauryz, a traditional spring holiday celebrated across Central Asia, marks the arrival of the new year and the renewal of nature. The event will bring together members of the Kazakh and broader local community for an afternoon of cultural activities, traditional cuisine, music, and fellowship.
Guests can expect a warm, family-friendly atmosphere highlighting Kazakh heritage and the spirit of spring renewal. Organizers say the celebration is intended to strengthen community ties while introducing local residents to the traditions and customs associated with Nauryz.
In recognition of the holiday’s cultural significance, the City of Kirkland has issued a proclamation celebrating Nauryz and acknowledging the contributions of the Kazakh community to the region.

The event will also serve as a fundraiser supporting community programs organized by the North American Kazakh Association.
